We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and processed accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, documenting received goods, and moving inventory to appropriate storage locations. This position is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting the smooth flow of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure timely processing of all incoming stock. We emphasize a safe working environment, requiring strict adherence to all PPE guidelines and warehouse Safety protocols. This role involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and performing moderate Lifting . Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be invaluable in this role, directly impacting our supply chain integrity and overall operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Move received goods to designated storage areas using pallet jacks or other equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required PPE , including safety vests and gloves.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Contribute to the efficiency of our overall Logistics flow.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate Lifting . Basic computer skills for inventory tracking. Familiarity with warehouse operations and Logistics . Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE . High school diploma or GED. Good communication and teamwork skills.
