This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that all inventory data is precise and up-to-date. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting regular inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and optimizing inventory management processes. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage stock adjustments and ensure proper documentation.
- Work closely with receiving, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure data accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and warehouse protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) effectively for inventory tracking.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical inventory counts, which may involve lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with safe lifting techniques and material handling is important.
- Willingness to wear necessary PPE, such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
