We’re looking for a Membership Coordinator to join our busy and friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting members throughout their journey, from application and admission through to renewal, engagement, and recognition.

What you will be doing:

As a Membership Coordinator, you will help ensure a high‑quality service for members, potential members, and internal colleagues. You’ll process membership applications, manage member data using our membership management system, and support engagement activity that strengthens member involvement and retention.

Your work will include:

  • Providing clear, detailed advice and guidance on all aspects of the membership experience.

  • Processing applications for Royal Society of Chemistry membership—including Charters and Registers—accurately and efficiently.

  • Maintaining a broad understanding of membership regulations, admission requirements, and terms and conditions.

  • Communicating membership benefits clearly and appropriately to different audiences.

  • Supporting membership teams and the wider organisation by promoting key products and services.

  • Contributing to weekly Member Networks communications.

  • Supporting engagement and recognition activities across teams.

  • Ensuring accurate administration and maintenance of member records, including subscription data.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team that takes pride in delivering exceptional service and continually improving member engagement.

At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role. It is expected that you will attend the Cambridge office two days per week. If you need flexible working arrangements, please outline this in your application.
