Join our expanding logistics team as an Order Picker in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is central to ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves using scanning technology and preparing them for shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, and possesses a strong understanding of order fulfillment processes. A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace is essential. You will collaborate with other team members to meet daily picking quotas and contribute to the overall success of our distribution center. Daily duties involve navigating the warehouse, verifying item numbers and quantities, and staging picked orders. We foster a team-oriented environment that values accuracy and speed. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product identification and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment.
- Stage orders for shipping and receiving.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate in inventory control activities and cycle counts.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Contribute to achieving daily operational goals in a logistics environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order instructions and product labels.
- Proficiency with scanning technology (RF scanners) is preferred.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards.
- Basic knowledge of logistics operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
