- Dispense prescription medications to patients and provide medication counseling
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy
- Review and interpret prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Monitor patient drug therapies for potential drug interactions or adverse effects
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles
- Provide education and guidance to patients on the proper use of medications
- Participate in medication management and quality improvement initiatives
*Skills*:
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for medication order entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards
*Position requirements*:
*Licensure/Certification/Registration*: Must have completed all Georgia licensure requirements. Must maintain a current Georgia pharmacy license and certification to administer immunizations.
*Education*: Must have a BS degree in pharmacy or a Pharm D from an accredited school of pharmacy.
*Experience*: previous experience in retail pharmacy preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
