ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for Network Engineer (TESA) candidates who will provide support of the Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) Box Program. Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.
Prefer candidates with a valid US passport.
Must have an active, current Top-Secret Clearance.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
All candidates will perform the following duties:
Provide high-level troubleshooting and maintenance for ADSI terminal systems.
Monitor the day-to-day operation and institute corrective actions in response to noted anomalies.
Provide status updates during troubleshooting and confirm the reason for the outage with the designated Government POCs after resolving the problem.
Maintain, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and operate the following types of equipment:
Fiber Optics Networks equipment.
Firewall and IDS equipment.
Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Network Interface Processor (CNIPs) equipment.
ADSI.
Cisco Routing and Switching equipment.
Provide status updates during troubleshooting and confirm the reason for outage with C2BMC Control Center.
Work closely with the Gateway sites to help with the engineering of IP networks and help validate circuit designs developed by DISA.
Perform programming and configuration management of site IP equipment as this task will be critical in day-to-day operation of the site.
Provide technical representation at Government reviews as assigned and participate in meetings and exercises as assigned.
Investigate technical and interoperability issues, formulate solutions and make recommendations.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
All candidates will have the following minimum skills:
Successfully completed ADSI training within six (6) months upon starting award of task order.
Three (3) years of engineering skills in the design, integration, and test of complex network and satellite communication systems/equipment, or design, integration, and testing of complex Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
Capable of supporting technicians, instructors, or other Contactor Field Support Representatives (CFSRs) when the latter experience problems of a highly technical or complex nature or require specialized support.
Understand software operations, software coding, applications, and problem solving.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.
Work well independently or as a member of a team environment
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science,
OR
an Associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience,
OR
eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.

CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Security+
