Become a key player in our logistics operations as an Order Picker in Virginia Beach, Virginia! This role is fundamental to our success, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. You will navigate our warehouse using RF scanners and order pick lists to locate and retrieve specific products. Precision is vital, as you'll be responsible for ensuring the right items are picked for each order, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. The position requires consistent physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Safety is our utmost priority; therefore, you must strictly adhere to all safety protocols and correctly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout your shift. You will work closely with other members of the warehouse team, including packers and shipping personnel, to maintain a smooth workflow and meet daily order fulfillment targets. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency within a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Read order pick tickets or use RF scanners to identify and locate warehouse items.
- Accurately retrieve specified quantities of products from designated storage locations.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area using appropriate equipment (carts, pallet jacks).
- Ensure the accuracy of picked items against order details to minimize errors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all established safety rules and regulations.
- Wear required PPE, including safety footwear and gloves.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve team and individual performance goals.
- Contribute to efficient logistics operations through precise and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to accurately pick items in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Capacity for frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Familiarity with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
