We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our state-of-the-art logistics center in Durham, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your expertise in operating forklifts is essential to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and store merchandise in appropriate locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as picking or packing.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures and regulations.
- Willingness to wear designated PPE, including safety shoes and hard hats where required.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
