We are seeking a diligent and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring materials are moved, organized, and prepared for shipment efficiently and safely. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving incoming goods, verifying contents against purchase orders, and properly storing materials in designated areas. You will also be responsible for picking and packing orders, preparing them for dispatch, and operating various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified). Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is crucial, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience with inventory management systems is a plus. We provide all necessary PPE and emphasize safe lifting techniques to prevent injuries. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Store materials accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize provided PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Follow all logistics and shipping procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and use of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of logistics operations.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
