We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the movement and organization of materials. You will be responsible for using equipment to transport goods, manage inventory flow, and ensure that workstations are properly stocked. A strong commitment to **safety** and efficiency is paramount, as is the consistent use of **PPE**. This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to handle **lifting** and moving various materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move goods.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Ensure workstations are stocked with necessary materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all **safety** procedures and wear required **PPE**.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Participate in **lifting** and carrying heavy items.
- Support the overall efficiency of warehouse **logistics**.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform frequent **lifting** and manual labor.
- Knowledge of warehouse **safety** protocols and **PPE** usage.
- Basic understanding of **logistics** and inventory control.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
