Our busy logistics hub in Fort Worth, Texas, is looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will operate various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, and adherence to all **safety** protocols, including the proper use of **PPE**, is required. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our warehouse and plays a key part in our overall **logistics** chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move materials from receiving to storage and from storage to staging areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Follow all warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE** requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs of forklift usage and maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient **logistics**.
- Contribute to a productive and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of forklift operation and safety best practices.
- Ability to perform **lifting** tasks and work in a physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with **PPE** and warehouse **safety** regulations.
- Knowledge of **logistics** and warehouse operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
