Seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our team in Richmond, Virginia! As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in our distribution center by accurately retrieving items for customer orders. This position requires a high level of accuracy, speed, and attention to detail to ensure that our logistics operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their orders correctly. You will be navigating our warehouse, utilizing technology to locate and collect products, and contributing to overall team productivity. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or RF scanning equipment.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipment.
- Maintain productivity targets and strive for efficiency in picking operations.
- Keep picking areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and team efforts.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift items weighing up to 40 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy is helpful.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices is required.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with logistics workflows is a plus.
