We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Coordinator for our growing logistics operation in Austin, Texas. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, ensuring high levels of productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. This includes enforcing the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), and a proven track record in logistics. The role requires the ability to handle operational challenges, oversee processes involving significant lifting, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, implement cycle count programs, and maintain stock integrity.
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE, and maintain a secure workplace.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions for maximum efficiency.
- Manage receiving and shipping schedules, coordinating with carriers and internal departments.
- Implement and improve warehouse procedures and best practices for logistics.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and orderly work environment.
- Handle operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Perform physical tasks, including occasional heavy lifting, as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or supervision.
- Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong understanding of logistics, inventory control, and supply chain principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and comprehensive knowledge of PPE requirements.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
