Join our logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida, as a Material Handler. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the efficient and safe movement of materials. As a Material Handler, you will operate various pieces of equipment, manage inventory flow, and ensure that products are ready for shipment or put-away. Your primary responsibility will be to support our logistics operations by maintaining an organized and accessible inventory. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Stage goods for outgoing shipments and incoming receipts.
- Ensure all materials are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Forklift certification is a significant advantage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and logistics best practices.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
