We are looking for a reliable and industrious Material Handler to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring a steady flow of goods to support our logistics operations. This position requires the ability to operate various types of material handling equipment and a strong focus on safety. You will play a key role in managing inventory, staging products for shipment, and ensuring efficient material flow from receiving to shipping. Your diligence will help maintain order and efficiency within our facility, contributing directly to our company's success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials between different areas of the warehouse.
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Stage materials for shipping and receiving.
- Ensure all materials are handled properly to prevent damage.
- Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain equipment and report any issues.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification to operate forklifts is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics principles.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
