Your responsibilities will include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, accurately documenting inventory, and preparing outgoing orders for timely dispatch. This role demands strong organizational skills, efficiency, and a dedication to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You'll be instrumental in ensuring accuracy and speed in our supply chain operations. This position involves physical activity, including regular lifting up to 50 pounds, and requires you to be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced warehouse setting. Safety is paramount; therefore, strict adherence to all company safety protocols and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against manifests.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects upon arrival.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Store inventory in designated locations, optimizing space and organization.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in using warehouse scanners and basic computer systems.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
