In this role, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse using picking lists and carefully packing them for shipment. Success in this position requires excellent attention to detail, speed, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic logistics environment. You will play a vital part in ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Maintaining a clean and safe work area is paramount, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety standards, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This job involves considerable physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds is essential for performing your duties effectively. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Verify item accuracy and quantity before packing.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages with correct shipping information.
- Maintain a tidy and organized picking and packing station.
- Follow all company safety protocols and warehouse guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and gloves, as required.
- Assist with inventory management tasks when needed.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse picking/packing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety and PPE usage.
