We are seeking a motivated and reliable Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will involve accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets and then carefully packing them for shipment. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to optimize picking and packing processes, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and supervisors. We emphasize adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods. The ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, is a requirement for this role. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations according to order lists.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects before packing.
- Pack products securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize provided PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any order discrepancies or issues.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order forms.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety principles.
