Become a crucial part of our logistics operations as a Material Handler in Fort Worth, Texas! This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for distribution and production. Experience with material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, is a significant advantage. We prioritize a safe working environment, requiring all employees to use appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Move materials around the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Prepare materials for shipping or production, including staging and packaging.
- Conduct routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including safe lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and discrepancy resolution.
- Support receiving and shipping teams as needed to ensure operational efficiency within the logistics framework.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment.
