We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Boise, Idaho. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and assisting with stocktaking procedures. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations, supporting both receiving and shipping departments. You will be working with a diverse range of products and utilizing our state-of-the-art inventory management system. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. Prior experience in inventory control or a warehouse environment is highly advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas, ensuring proper stock rotation and identification.
- Receive and process incoming stock, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Update inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System) in real-time.
- Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory items.
- Collaborate with team members to improve inventory accuracy and operational workflows.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
- Support receiving and shipping operations as needed, including light lifting and moving of goods.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on inventory best practices and system enhancements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related warehouse role.
- Familiarity with WMS or other inventory tracking software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE in a logistics environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
