Join our bustling warehouse in Durham, North Carolina, as a Material Handler! We are seeking motivated individuals to manage the movement and organization of materials throughout our facility. This role is fundamental to the efficiency of our logistics operations, ensuring that raw materials, components, and finished goods are readily available for production and shipment. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, possess a strong understanding of warehouse safety, and be adept at operating material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Prepare materials for production or shipment, including kitting and staging.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety regulations and procedures.
- Utilize and maintain appropriate PPE at all times.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper pre-operation checks.
- Assist in cycle counting and physical inventory verification.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment for the entire logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a significant asset.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting, typically up to 55 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Reliable and committed to Safety.
