We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist in Omaha, Nebraska, to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This role is essential for optimizing stock levels, preventing stockouts, and minimizing inventory loss. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling inventory records, and implementing inventory control procedures. Your sharp eye for detail and analytical skills will be key to ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe workplace, and adherence to all Safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts of inventory within the warehouse.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate receiving and put-away of all incoming inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and report on stock aging and obsolescence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting. Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory best practices. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Upholding Safety standards is crucial.
