We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics facility in Durham, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, proven operational experience, and a strong dedication to workplace safety. You will operate various types of forklifts with precision and care, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and without damage to products or property. Meticulous attention to detail is required to maintain inventory integrity and support seamless logistics operations. Our commitment to safety is paramount; all forklift operators must strictly adhere to all safety regulations and consistently wear the required PPE. This role involves frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs and requires individuals who are physically capable and attentive to their surroundings. Your role is vital in ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our facility, contributing directly to our ability to meet customer demands. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Properly use required PPE at all times while performing duties.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial reasoning, and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
