Job Summary:
Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented professional? We are hiring an Inventory Control Specialist for our state-of-the-art facility in Richmond, Virginia. This critical role involves managing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. You will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our stock through systematic tracking and analysis. Your expertise will help us minimize losses and maximize operational throughput. Safety is a core value, and you will be expected to uphold the highest standards, utilizing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhering to rigorous Safety protocols. This role requires careful handling and occasional moderate Lifting of inventory. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management best practices.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient stock rotation and flow.
  • Manage stockroom organization and ensure proper storage conditions.
  • Report on key inventory metrics and performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Capability for moderate Lifting of items up to 30 pounds.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
