We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team in Sacramento, California. The Order Picker is responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse shelves. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of all orders. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing hand scanners and other warehouse equipment to locate and retrieve items. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and maintain high customer satisfaction. Successful candidates will be proactive, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent walking, bending, and reaching. Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of required PPE is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using a handheld scanner.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Verify product information against order sheets to ensure accuracy.
- Repackage items as needed for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (training provided).
- Meet daily picking quotas and performance targets.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety vests and gloves, at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory management is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
