We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly identified and packaged.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, to move inventory efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals and improve workflow.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and the use of appropriate PPE.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisors.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
