We are seeking motivated and reliable Distribution Center Associates to join our growing team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting for damage.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and operate various warehouse machinery.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all guidelines.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
