We have an immediate opening for a dedicated Receiving Clerk at our Sacramento, California facility. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are processed efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for the unloading, inspection, and documentation of shipments, playing a key part in maintaining inventory integrity. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against relevant documentation.
- Inspect goods for damages and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Accurately record received items into our inventory management system.
- Stage materials for subsequent movement within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal departments.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure workplace.
- Utilize and properly wear all required PPE .
- Assist with inventory tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of basic Logistics and warehouse procedures is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety and correct PPE usage.
