Job Summary:
Our Boston, Massachusetts facility is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and repair our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. This role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our logistics hub. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing repairs on various machinery, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated storage systems. A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is required. You will also play a key role in ensuring our facilities meet all safety standards, including proper functioning of safety equipment and adherence to regulations regarding PPE. This position requires problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintenance. Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Work closely with the warehouse operations team to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the use of PPE.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including climbing, crawling, and occasional Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
