We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our facility in Kansas City, Missouri. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Load and unload shipments of materials and finished goods.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by properly documenting all material movements.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist in receiving and shipping operations as directed.
- Participate in cycle counting and physical inventory audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Forklift Operator, or similar role required.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and logistics best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a busy warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to different temperatures. This role requires significant physical effort, including frequent lifting and operating heavy machinery. Safety is our highest priority, and all employees must strictly follow established safety protocols and consistently use their provided PPE. Your role is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our logistics network.
