Import / Export Specialist

Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Provide leadership in working with freight carriers and the Team in the development and execution of import and export operations for all US based facilities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage China/Korea inventory requests by creating and maintaining the purchase orders for Purchasing & Receiving until shipment of the order is complete

• Create and ensure accuracy on commercial documentation for both import and export shipments

• Understand requirements of the country in which shipments are being exported to and then create the additional documentation required for import compliance

• Work with other departments to plan import and export strategies for the company

• Maintain and build freight carrier relationships

• Support Musco’s international entities with effective communication involving supply of materials and project shipments

• Manage and approve international freight invoices on all import and export shipments

• Work closely with our freight carriers to ensure that the freight requirements for both Musco and the customer are met

• Provide the Team with freight quotes, tracking information, and other freight related inquiries

• Other duties as assigned
