Express is Now Hiring: Safety Specialist

Are you the person who notices the missing guardrail, loose pallet, or the guy standing on a forklift like it’s a carnival ride?

We’re looking for a Safety Supervisor to help keep our manufacturing and warehouse operations safe, compliant, and accident-free across multiple locations.

Your mission (should you choose to accept it):

Prevent injuries, improve safety culture, and politely stop people from doing questionable things with ladders ,forklifts and transportation.

This role partners closely with Operations Managers and site leaders to make sure safety isn't just a poster on the wall — it’s how we actually operate.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct safety audits and EHS assessments across multiple facilities
• Partner with operations leaders to improve workplace safety and compliance
• Ensure facilities follow EHS regulations and internal safety programs
• Help build a culture where people think before they climb, lift, drive, or weld
• Investigate incidents and help prevent the next “well that wasn’t smart” moment
• Train teams and promote smart, safe work habits

✈️ Travel Expectations

This is a multi-site support role , so yes... your suitcase will get some use.

• Virginia Region: ~60–70% travel

✅ What We're Looking For

✔ Experience in manufacturing or warehouse safety
✔ Background in EHS programs, audits, and compliance
✔ Someone who can influence people without having to yell or carry a clipboard like a hall monitor
✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✔ Bachelor’s degree preferred
(Associate’s degree with 7+ years relevant experience considered)

The ideal candidate is someone who can build trust with operations teams while still holding the line on safety.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary up to $90 - 95K + 5% annual bonus eligibility
