This is a fast-paced practice that services client needs 24 hours per day.
Hadford Defence Group is seeking lawyers with 1-3 years litigation experience. Criminal practice experience is preferred, though not mandatory.
The successful candidate will:
- at minimum, have their Articles completed and have been called to the bar for 1-3 years;
- be driven and ambitious with a strong desire to learn;
- be willing to work as part of a dynamic team;
- be a creative problem solver;
- demonstrate an understanding of the high standards lawyers are expected to maintain with regard to the rules of the Law Society of Alberta; and
- understand that Hadford Defence Group strictly practices Criminal Defence. There will be no opportunity to advance in other areas of law.
To be considered, candidates must be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta, be able to practice immediately, and be able to drive their own vehicle.
Remuneration will be competitive and negotiable, between $87,000.00 and $110,000.00 annually plus a quarterly bonus structure. The employment contract includes a paid parking stall, monthly cell phone compensation, mileage to circuit points as per the Legal Aid tariff, payment to the Law Society and ALIA for annual fees, and a robust health benefits plan.
