Description:
Develops, maintains, and supports applications for the organization's Internet/Intranet sites. Gathers and analyzes requirements. Programs all or selected components of Web applications. Documents components and applications. Develops automation techniques to enable end-user content publishing; programs, tests and implements mapped graphic images, forms and HTML pages; handles client browser support inquiries; maintains links to external sites and accuracy on internal links while ensuring up-to-date information. Researches, evaluates and recommends new Internet tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities. The senior level Web Applications Programmer has experience in a variety of the more difficult Web tools and languages. The primary duties of this contract Web developer are application development, including collaborating with key users to gather and document customer's business requirements, utilizing solid analysis and design skills to build system specifications. The Web developer will use programming language coding techniques and testing practices to achieve consistent execution and meet project timelines.
Required Knowledge:
This individual must be able to learn current software systems and tools as they relate to the team and IT Bureau as a whole. The successful candidate must have the ability to understand business requirements and design and develop the software.
Required Skills • The requirements for this position is to have the following skill set • Develops solutions requiring analysis and research. • Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in a specific business area. • Works on one or more projects as a project team member or occasionally as a project leader. • May coach more junior technical staff. • Hands on application development experience using ASP.Net, VB.Net, HTML, JavaScript • Hands on Development experience in Oracle including writing queries and Stored Procedures • Experience using MS Reporting Services to create reports • Experience with MVC Framework architecture • Ability to work independently on multiple assignments and to work collaboratively within a team • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience Required • Minimum of 5 years of IT work experience in web application development using Microsoft .NET technologies AND Oracle Database Experience with SQL reporting services
