Key Responsibilities Create architectures for goal-setting and decomposition mechanisms tailored for autonomous agents operating in uncertain environments.
Design and implement dynamic planning systems, incorporating hierarchical planning, curriculum learning, and self-refinement processes.
Collaborate on frameworks for memory, tool use, and feedback loops that enable agents to perform multi-step, self-guided tasks.
Develop evaluation metrics that ensure alignment with human intent and monitor progress toward long-term objectives.
Prototype agents that efficiently interact with APIs, MCP servers, search engines, databases, or real-world actuators.
Explore techniques to identify and rectify goal misalignment, looping behaviors, or unwanted emergent strategies.
Work collaboratively across teams to ensure goal alignment integrates with safety and operational reliability.
Technical Skills Strong command of SQL, Python, and data analysis/data mining tools.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as Pytorch, JAX, LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen.
Experience in developing high-performance, large-scale ML systems.
Knowledge of language modeling and transformers.
Understanding of symbolic planning, causal reasoning, and model-based reinforcement learning.
Experience handling large-scale ETL processes.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in leading AI/ML system development.
Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
Experience deploying autonomous or semi-autonomous agents either in production or simulation contexts.
Familiarity with large language model-based agents featuring self-reflection mechanisms or hierarchical task decomposition.
Knowledge of autonomy risk mitigation strategies such as off-switch protocols or bounded rationality.
