Join Oracle's Health Data Intelligence (HDI) team as a Lead Software Engineer (IC4) and be at the forefront of enhancing our innovative analytics platform infrastructure. In this vital role, you will architect and develop systems that support healthcare analytics in various cloud environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions that provide business intelligence, reporting, and essential insights for healthcare leaders worldwide. Required Skills Infrastructure & Reliability:
Significant experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing high-availability infrastructure, with a focus on fault tolerance and performance tuning.
Data Technologies:
Strong knowledge of Vertica and Data Warehousing Platforms, including expertise in columnar storage/analytics and ETL frameworks.
BI & Reporting:
Practical experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics) to generate actionable insights.
DevOps/SRE Practices:
Skilled in automation, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana).
Cloud Ecosystems:
Proficient understanding of multi-cloud environments (AWS, Oracle Cloud) with emphasis on cost-effective scalability and compliance.
Problem-Solving & Collaboration:
Proven ability to resolve production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, mentor team members, and shape long-term technical strategies.
Programming & Tools:
Solid experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, and expertise in containerization (Docker) and cloud-native scripting.
Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize infrastructure for the Oracle HDI Analytics Platform, focusing on high availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
Develop and enhance scalable data pipelines using Vertica for columnar storage and analytics, in addition to effective ETL processes for data management.
Improve integration with Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Oracle Analytics) to derive valuable insights from complex data sets.
Advocate for DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices by automating deployments, monitoring system health with Prometheus/Grafana, and establishing CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Jenkins, or Kubernetes.
Collaborate across multi-cloud ecosystems (AWS, Oracle Cloud, On-Prem) ensuring platform compatibility, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to healthcare compliance standards.
Proactively troubleshoot production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements in system reliability.
Mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical roadmaps, and stay updated on emerging technologies in data warehousing and cloud-native architectures.
What We're Looking For Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
Deep expertise in data warehousing and ETL frameworks.
Hands-on experience with BI/reporting tools and analytics platforms; familiarity with Oracle HDI or similar healthcare data systems is a plus.
Strong skills in cloud technologies: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and monitoring/observability stacks.
Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with a history of delivering reliable systems at scale within dynamic environments.

Salary Information: US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. You may be eligible for bonus and equity. Oracle maintains a broad salary range for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations.
