Colson Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical HR Data & Analytics Intern to join our team. This position offers hands-on experience in HR data management, reporting, and analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and an interest in leveraging data to drive HR insights and decision-making. This position will be based at our Saint Joseph, MI location and will offer a flexible schedule of 10-15 hours per week during the school year, and 40 hours per week during breaks and summer. Essential Job Functions Assist with data analysis and interpretation to support HR initiatives, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights. Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets for tracking HR metrics, including employee demographics and performance indicators. Support predictive analytics projects to identify workforce trends, forecast hiring needs, and anticipate potential turnover risks. Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for HR leadership, including turnover rates, hiring projections, and cost of turnover analysis. Collaborate with HR team members on special projects, such as optimizing data collection processes and improving reporting efficiency. Assist with other HR projects, reports, and tasks. Qualifications, Skills & Abilities Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and charts. Familiarity with data analytics concepts; experience with predictive analytics is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) tools used for data visualization and analysis, such as Tableau, Power BI and/or Qlik.
