Our client is a growing electrical engineering company delivering bespoke electrical, controls, and modular solutions across Ireland. The business operates in a technically demanding environment and is entering an important next phase of development, with plans to expand its Modular offering and support future export activity.

The Role
The EHSQ Officer will be a hands‑on, site‑focused role, supporting the implementation and day‑to‑day operation of the Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements.
This position is ideally suited to an EHS professional with a few years' experience who is looking to:
- Take ownership of site‑based EHSQ activity
- Broaden their exposure across safety, quality, and compliance
- Develop their career within a growing organisation
The role will work closely with Directors, project managers, and site teams and will be supported by senior management and external advisors as systems and processes continue to evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety (Primary Focus)
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Health & Safety systems.
- Assist with the preparation, review, and control of:
- Safety Statements
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Carry out regular site inspections and safety audits.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Support incident, near‑miss, and non‑conformance reporting and investigations.
- Maintain H&S records, registers, and compliance documentation.
- Promote a positive and practical safety culture across site teams and contractors.
Quality Support
- Support the implementation of quality procedures and standard operating practices.
- Assist with quality checks, inspections, and documentation on projects.
- Maintain quality records and support internal and external audits.
- Help standardise basic SOPs and project documentation under management guidance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing rework and defects.
Environmental & Compliance
- Support environmental controls on sites, including waste management and housekeeping.
- Assist with environmental compliance monitoring and record keeping.
- Support sustainability and ESG initiatives as they are introduced.
Systems & Reporting
- Maintain EHSQ trackers, registers, and basic KPI reports.
- Support the rollout and use of digital EHSQ tools and systems.
- Provide regular updates to management on EHSQ activity and compliance status.
About You
Essential Requirements
- 2‑4 years' experience in a Health & Safety, EHS, or HSEQ role.
- Qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience working in construction, electrical, engineering, or industrial environments.
- Practical, site‑focused approach with good attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with site teams.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
Desirable
- Exposure to quality systems or ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001).
- IOSH or GradIOSH membership.
- Experience supporting audits or compliance reviews.
- Interest in developing into a more senior EHSQ role over time.
