Are you ready to take your CNC operating skills to the next level? At Waukesha Bearings , part of Dover Precision Components , we invite you to be a vital part of our fully integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing facility. Here, you’ll utilize cutting-edge CNC machining centers for turning, milling, and grinding operations, crafting customized designs from a variety of materials including steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.

Your Role as a Skilled CNC Operator

In this dynamic position, you will work with a broad range of multi-axis machine tools—lathes, mills, grinders, and more—to produce high-quality fluid-film bearings, seals, and isolators for turbo and industrial machinery. Your expertise will help us serve customers across Europe and beyond!

What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary:
    • £44,919.62 for a rotating shift pattern (6am and 2pm)
    • £52,452.37 for night shifts
  • Working Hours: 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday with permanent employment contracts.

What You Will Bring
  • Time-served apprenticeship in a machining discipline or SVQ/NVQ level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC machine tools in a lean-manufacturing environment
  • Established milling experience with multi-axis machine tools or experience with Rotary Table Grinders, CNC Table Grinders, or 5 Axis CNC Grinders
  • Familiarity with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas
  • Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm
  • Experience with precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges)
  • Experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar environments is a plus
Your Responsibilities
  • Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements
  • Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system
  • Interpret work instructions and select the proper tooling for operations
  • Calculate feeds and speeds for various materials
  • Understand and edit complete programs as needed
  • Perform quality inspections and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity
  • Visually inspect final components and prepare them for shipment
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments for quality verification
