Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic manufacturing environment? As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at our Glasgow facility, you will play a pivotal role in directing and managing our manufacturing and process engineering functions. Here, we design and produce the renowned Waukesha Bearings and Inpro/Seal ranges of components.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will guide a talented team in creating and planning CNC programs, coordinating tooling and fixturing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your efforts will help us enhance our industrial processes, materials, and products.
What You'll Bring:- Experience: A progressive background in precision engineering, with a proven track record in managing all aspects of a Manufacturing Engineering Department.
- CNC Expertise: Proficiency in offline CNC machine programming for complex components, utilizing advanced milling and turning technologies. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as FeatureCAM, GibbsCAM, or Vericut is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. You should be a proactive leader who inspires and manages effectively.
- Team Management: Demonstrated success in leading teams and facilitating change through Lean tools and Continuous Improvement techniques.
- Lead the Team: Oversee the Manufacturing Engineering team to create and plan all CNC programming within delivery timelines.
- Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to identify optimal manufacturing designs and provide guidance on manufacturing issues.
- Foster a Positive Environment: Create a motivating workplace, directing activities and resources to enhance team skills and performance.
- Drive Performance: Develop and execute KPIs to ensure departmental and business-wide goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in and encourage team involvement in improving manufacturing processes using Lean tools and CI techniques.
