Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic manufacturing environment? As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at our Glasgow facility, you will play a pivotal role in directing and managing our manufacturing and process engineering functions. Here, we design and produce the renowned Waukesha Bearings and Inpro/Seal ranges of components.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will guide a talented team in creating and planning CNC programs, coordinating tooling and fixturing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your efforts will help us enhance our industrial processes, materials, and products.

• Experience: A progressive background in precision engineering, with a proven track record in managing all aspects of a Manufacturing Engineering Department.
• CNC Expertise: Proficiency in offline CNC machine programming for complex components, utilizing advanced milling and turning technologies. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as FeatureCAM, GibbsCAM, or Vericut is essential.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. You should be a proactive leader who inspires and manages effectively.
• Team Management: Demonstrated success in leading teams and facilitating change through Lean tools and Continuous Improvement techniques.

• Lead the Team: Oversee the Manufacturing Engineering team to create and plan all CNC programming within delivery timelines.
• Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to identify optimal manufacturing designs and provide guidance on manufacturing issues.
• Foster a Positive Environment: Create a motivating workplace, directing activities and resources to enhance team skills and performance.
• Drive Performance: Develop and execute KPIs to ensure departmental and business-wide goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost are met.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in and encourage team involvement in improving manufacturing processes using Lean tools and CI techniques.
