Located in the heart of Batley, Kirklees, our new school is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 13 years old. As part of the Polaris Community, we have been transforming the lives of young people for over 30 years.

Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, addressing the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Supporting the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
- Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other school staff to meet individual needs.
- Supervising pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
- Building positive relationships with your pupils to drive interaction and foster positive learning outcomes.
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A suitable qualification at degree level
- Previous successful teaching experience, preferably in KS1/2
- Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting
- Strong behavior management skills and techniques
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work
