• Responsibility for the implemen­tation of the marine under­writing stra­tegy within Marine Global Risks (Auto OEM, Commodities and Project Cargo)
• Development of coverage concepts in coope­ration with our branch offices (co-underwriting)
• Decision regarding pri­cing and scope of cover
• Assumption of responsi­bility for the underwriting decision
• Portfolio steering regar­ding Marine Global Risks based on defined key per­formance indicators
• Implementation and mainten­ance of under­writing guide­lines and standards (expert groups, audit, UW governance)
• Promoting collaboration with related functions in the home office as well as between the home office and branch offices
• Supporting the training and pro­fessional develop­ment of underwriters

• Completed training in insu­rance and finance and further trai­ning as an insurance specia­list or completed studies with a focus on busi­ness adminis­tration or law or logis­tics
• Experience in marine under­writing, espe­cially cargo, stock through­put and corporate risks
• Analytical skills and numerical reasoning
• Strong communication skills in conduc­ting talks and nego­tiations
• Fluent in written and spoken English, other foreign languages welcome
• Willingness to travel within and out­side Europe
