What You’ll Do (Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities)As a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician, you will:
- Perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy‑duty vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems .
- Use onboard vehicle computer systems to identify failure modes and adjust Engine & Vehicle Control Modules .
- Respond to road calls and emergency repair needs.
- Review and complete repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) .
- Document work performed using fleet maintenance software.
- Test‑drive trucks after repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
- Assist team members with repairs and collaborate in a supportive shop environment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA‑compliant workspace .
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
