Position SummaryAs a Senior Accounting Analyst, you’ll be responsible for upholding material control and inventory accuracy. Help guide continuous improvement activities as you analyze inventory and process order variances to ensure adherence to operating standards. - Develop and implement processes and procedures to track material usage, material usage variances, unknown losses, and safeguard the assets of the company.
- Ensure plant compliance to inventory policies/procedures.
- Conduct audits of the warehouse, outside storage, plant floor, storeroom, and company store.
- Resolution of inventory issues for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Coordinate monthly closing activities for materials accounting and report results at monthly review.
- Prepare and distribute reports as requested by the Controller or management team.
- Participate in annual budgeting process, including completing the raw material and packaging budget.
- Coordinate, audit, and advise on all physical inventory procedures in each respective area to ensure accurate and timely completion per the division standard.
- Assist in the development and cross training of accounting personnel including employee evaluations to direct reports including recognition, coaching, and potential discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- 2+ years of experience in general accounting, cost accounting and/or inventory control in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
- 2+ years of supervisory/people leadership experience
