We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing facility setting. In this role, you will help residents regain communication, swallowing, and cognitive abilities while improving their quality of life. Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or Clinical Fellow welcome to apply
Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation, or geriatric setting preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in residents
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders
Provide therapy to residents recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, surgery, or illness
Assess and manage dysphagia and recommend appropriate dietary modifications
Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy techniques and treatment plans
Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to patient-centered outcomes
