Our school accommodates up to 60 pupils and is proud to have all our education services rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted. As a Tutor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the improvement of wellbeing, readiness for learning, resilience, and behaviour management.
• Collaborating with the Education Team to help remove barriers to learning.
• Leading classes during PPA and absence cover, with planning support from teaching staff.
• Delivering engaging enrichment activities during 'Golden Time'.
• Providing in-class support for academic, pastoral, emotional, or behavioural needs.
• Responding to immediate concerns and resolving situations appropriately.
• Creating and collating information related to lessons and interventions.
• Acting as an advocate for the ethos of Lyttelton House School.
• Leading on Reading and Phonics, reviewing progress made by students.
• Developing the role of Pupil Voice and liaising with the Senior Leadership Team.
• Building strong relationships with parents/carers during transitions and consultations.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

• A strong educational background, with at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
• Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., HLTA) and working with pupils with SEMH.
• Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in specific areas (e.g., Food Hygiene, Forest School, etc.).
• Experience in behaviour management techniques.
• A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
