Your RoleAs a SEND Teacher, you will:
- Teach small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant.
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and report on the learning needs and progress of your pupils.
- Adapt your teaching methods to inspire and motivate students.
- Prepare learners for external tests and ensure they meet high standards.
- Teach across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum, with a focus on SEND adaptations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
- Experience in teaching KS3/KS4 and knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- A good understanding of effective teaching strategies and child learning processes.
- Strong relationship-building skills with pupils and knowledge of safeguarding practices.
- Good ICT skills to support learning.
