We are looking for enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team in Southampton!

About Us

Your Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, providing tailored care packages to our children and young adults. You will receive training in Developmental Trauma and therapeutic parenting, equipping you to offer the best support possible.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work with children and young people, understanding the unique challenges they face.
  • Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of our young people.
  • Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships.
  • Encourage the development of individual interests.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team, accepting guidance and direction.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins (09:00 AM - 09:30 AM the following day).
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Ability to work well in a small team.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
  • Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary: £24,604.58 (unqualified) or £27,107.08 (qualified), with potential earnings up to £32,348.58 or £34,851.08 with sleep-in shifts.
  • A sleep-in allowance of £64 per night .
