DESCRIPTION: AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
The Global Network Deployment (GND) organization is looking to hire a Data Engineer to join our Intel & Reporting team (I&R) to support GND's fast growing operations. The GND organization owns the delivery of physical network infrastructure for core data centers and Edge points-of-presence (PoPs) globally through planning, deployment, and process optimization.
As a Data Engineer on this team, manage and create the infrastructure required to drive efficiency in data ingestion and transformation
processes working with the source SDE teams and partner DE team across DCC for the data required for GND. You will work collaboratively with BIE's,
business leaders and TIPMS
teams on many non-standard and unique business problems and support business initiatives by enabling them to query data and build appropriate metrics.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and ability to prioritize effectively to ensure timelines are met. You will own projects E2E, from engaging with customers to production and delivery of a suite of tools used by the organization to make key business decisions. You should be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and be creative (while still paying careful attention to detail). You think in terms of architecture, not just code. You proactively work to improve the consistency and integration between your team's BI solutions and any related systems or artifacts.
Key job responsibilities Data-as-a-Product Delivery - Own end-to-end accountability for data pipelines from ingestion to consumption - Deliver data pipelines with clear SLAs, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction measures - Build self-service platforms with embedded governance, lineage, and discovery - Establish Gen AI powered data contracts and SLA's for reliable, versioned data consumption and meta data management - Develop infrastructure for agentic AI systems with multi-agent orchestration
AWS Infrastructure & Pipeline Engineering - Manage AWS resources: S3, Redshift, Kinesis, SageMaker, Bedrock - Build high-quality pipelines supporting BIE's, TIPMS and AI agents - Implement CDC and event-driven architectures for tracking data availability - Deploy infrastructure-as-code using CDK/Terraform
