We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Manager with a solid background in distributed databases and project management to help drive our technology initiatives. In this role, you will manage the design, development, maintenance, and security of complex physical databases. You will offer valuable technical leadership to the database programming team and the broader IT organization. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Overseeing the development and improvement of databases and master files. Conducting technical audits of all internal databases. Performing essential tasks such as backup and recovery, and ensuring database consistency. Identifying new initiatives and recommending strategies for database growth and integration. Coordinating software issues with other IT functions to ensure seamless collaboration. What You'll Bring: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of experience in managing and administering data. Proficiency in Mainframe Db2 and IMS database management systems. Experience with IMS Managed ACBs is a plus. Strong understanding of Database Design methodologies, data modeling, and relational database concepts. Expertise in SQL, stored procedures, functions, and creating database objects. Familiarity with BMC Software utilities for IMS and Db2. A solid track record in operational/support roles, with knowledge of incident/problem/change management. Experience monitoring Mainframe Infrastructure and databases using BMC AMI Ops (Mainview) is preferred. Advanced knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Exceptional analytical, proactive problem-solving, project management, and tactical planning skills. Demonstrated leadership, management, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Experience with ServiceNow is a plus. Location Requirements:
